We are thrilled to announce that Anthony Pitt, our esteemed submarine pilot, has been featured in the latest edition of The Nation!
Anthony's 30 years of dedication and expertise have made him an invaluable member of the Atlantis Submarines Barbados team. Starting as a respected mechanic at Intel, Anthony transitioned seamlessly into the world of underwater submarine tours in Barbados, quickly moving up the ranks to become our lead pilot. His passion for the ocean and commitment to safety have enriched the experiences of countless guests.
From his memorable first dive to his encounters with magnificent marine life like whale sharks and sea horses, Anthony's journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. A resident of Drax Hall Hope, St George, Anthony said it’s a surreal feeling coming from a parish without a sea yet having such a profound love for the ocean.
Anthony's work is more than just a job; it’s a privilege he cherishes deeply. His interactions with notable figures like Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon, are among the many cherished memories of his career. He fondly remembers Aldrin’s words: "I went to outer space, and now is the time to see inner space."
As Anthony approaches retirement, we celebrate his remarkable contributions and the joy he has brought to so many. As quoted in The Nation “here's to Anthony Pitt, a real man from Atlantis” for his unwavering dedication and the legacy he leaves behind.
Congratulations, Anthony! We are incredibly proud to have you on our team.
