The pilot takes you between 120 and 150 feet beneath the waves, and you get to explore creatures like hawksbill sea turtles, barracudas, Caribbean reef fish, eels, magnificent sunken ships, coral reefs, sponges, and gorgonians.
The area is known to the pilots who have years of transiting over the reefs. GPS coordinates are marked on the plotter that coincides with known points underwater.
There is constant communication between the surface vessel that follows the sub around, ensuring the area is always clear for the sub. The submersible is clearly visible to the surface officer from approximately 60' underwater, and the pilot also has the option of sending air to the surface to mark the sub's location.
For the Night Dive, in addition to the day time tracking systems, the submersible's lights are visible at all depths from the surface.
Yes, we offer a Down & Under Cave combo, a spectacular blend of two “not to be missed attractions in Barbados”—Atlantis Submarine and Harrison’s Cave.
The tour starts by wandering through the colorful underwater world, followed by a tram tour through Harrison's Cave, a treasure trove of stunning stalactites and stalagmites.
We prioritize safety with multiple layers of protection. The submarines undergo maintenance and certification at regular intervals, and they are designed with buoyancy, meaning they will naturally float to the surface when electrical systems fail. There is redundancy in all the critical systems for life support, propulsion, and buoyancy.
Our submarines are operated at a safe depth of 150 feet, and each dive is supervised by a skilled pilot and co-pilot, who are trained to take the vessel to the surface in case of emergencies.
Additionally, the pilots are constantly connected to a surface support boat, and the hatches can be opened once on the surface from the inside without any assistance from the surface crew.
Furthermore, before and after every dive, our professional crew performs routine checks to ensure everything is in optimal condition.
The bright lights are the primary highlight of Night Dive which offers complete visibility. The atmosphere is serene, with fewer fish and only nocturnal creatures are active, hunting for food.
You might also get an opportunity to witness corals mating or feeding under the celestial drape of darkness, painting a fascinating picture in your heart.
You can easily reserve your spot through our online reservation page via WhatsApp, call, or e-mail. Choose the one at your convenience.
Whether you book our Day Dive or Night Dive, the tour lasts for approximately 2 hours, and around 48 passengers can comfortably sit in our modern, fully air-conditioned submarine.
