Atlantis Submarines Wins BCCI Tourism Award

The Barbados Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established by some visionaries in 1825 and has survived and thrived embracing all productive sectors in its membership. Competing in the Tourism and Hospitality category against the Barbados Hilton and the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Conference Centre, Atlantis Submarines emerged the winner at a glitzy affair hosted by the chamber at the Hilton hotel. 

Mrs. Myers General manager for Atlantis Submarines Barbados quipped in her acceptance speech, "When we discussed this internally we agreed that it felt great to be nominated especially given the big guns we are up against; but tonight, actually winning feels so much better".  The Master of ceremonies for the evening was popular radio personality Mr. David Ellis, who explained that the awards were presided over by an independent selection panel and were judged based on a number of criteria, with the final results only being unveiled on the night by the auditor Price Waterhouse Coopers.  The criteria were weighted towards the evidence provided by each company to support their creativity and innovativeness over the long term, along with several other areas of focus.

As Atlantis Submarines approaches its 25^th year in Barbados, this award provides the motivation to continue to strive to be better, do better and continue to play an active role in the community as far as resources allow.  The beautifully crafted award will be on display in the Atlantis Submarines Reservations lounge and joins a growing number of awards and accolades accumulated over several years.
